Community Involvement

The Corio Bay Sports Treatment Clinic is committed to education and assistance in prevention of injury within the Colac Community.

We have been involved in the provision many services to the local community, including :

• Training local Sports Trainers with Level 1 accreditation with Sports Medicine Australia and advanced taping courses
• Training Football and Netball Coaches at their Level 1 Coaching Courses
• Free Seminars on Sports Injuries for trainers and coaches each year
• Back Care Education
• Work Experience Placements for Year 10 students from Colac's secondary schools
• Talks on the human body and sports injuries at local schools and preschools
• Talks to Bowling Clubs and Sportsman’s Club
• Visits to all football clubs to educate players on injury management and preventative strategies each pre-season
