Firstly, we’d like to congratulate you for making the important decision that your health is the most important thing that you own. As physiotherapists, we are the experts in exercise prescription, able to use our knowledge of injury pathology and medical conditions to safely tailor an exercise program specifically for you. Studies show that a supervised weight loss program and the use of an exercise and food diary are much more successful than trying to do it all yourself.
 
Recent figures have shown that 66% of Australian males and 55% of Australian females are overweight or obese. That’s pretty frightening! With the obesity epidemic continuing to spread throughout Australia and the world, we want to help you Take Control of your healthy future.
 
You might be surprised as to the effect that carrying around a few extra kilos can have on your health. Sure, there are the commonly known effects such as increasing your risk of developing high blood pressure or diabetes, both serious conditions having a major impact on life. But did you know that being overweight could be the cause of that knee pain that’s been troubling you, or why you are having difficulty sleeping or breathing, even why you feel sluggish and without energy. Research continues to amass linking an increase in average weight directly to increases in cancer cases, including kidney, breast, colon and prostate cancers. New research has even pointed to the damaging effect that being overweight has on your continence.
 
The trouble with these conditions is that they occur over time, and so quite often we don’t realise that the lifestyle choices we make are having a negative effect on our health and the health of our family.

  • A Pre-Program Assessment by a Physiotherapist to identify areas of injury concern and your suitable level of exercise
  • Goal Setting
  • Exercise Program Options:
1. Join our exercise Classes (Mornings: Tuesday and Friday, Evenings: Monday and Thursday).
2. A tailored program combining One-on-One sessions with a Physiotherapist to grade your exercise appropriately as well as Self-Managed sessions.
 
  • Discrete Weekly Weigh In
  • Advice on a home program to complement your gym sessions will be recommended.
